ABRA Consulting for licensees and communities

Martin spent several years serving the Logan Circle and Shaw neighborhoods as a representative on the ANC 2F ABRA Policy Committee, which reviewed all renewals and new license requests and made a voting recommendation to the full ANC (Advisory Neighborhood Commission). He has been frequently sought out to speak to neighborhood groups, ANCs, and community associations and to negotiate with new licensees and renewals on their behalf to mitigate some of the negative externalities that ABRA licensed establishments may sometimes cause. In addition to his work with Main Streets negotiating Settlement Agreements between licensees and surrounding communities, Martin has also worked with dozens of restaurants throughout the Washington DC area providing guidance on navigating the ABRA licensing process and has provided community relations consulting as they work through the process.
